Planks: why it’s one of the easiest exercise to strengthen the upper body and core (11/16/16)

Since we have Thanksgiving coming up, exercise will be at the bottom of the priority list. It’s just the way it goes. Hey, if you get something in this time of year, kudos to you. If you know you’re just going to eat, then my suggestion is to get some (anything for that matter) kind of exercise in. One of my favorite is planks, because it’s one of those exercises that target multiple muscle groups. Most people think that planks only targets the stomach, but when you weight bear on the elbows, the upper back gets stressed as well.

The beauty of planks is that you can do it anywhere. At the hotel, beach, park, living room, just anywhere really. The only thing is, you have to get down on the floor. I know I know it’s hard to get down there, but if you know you’re not going to be as active during Thanksgiving, planks is always a great exercise to incorporate. Exercise has to be convenient for you to do, especially if you are going to do it alone. No one to push you, self-motivation. It takes a lot, so its better to not use any equipment, just body weight. There is a nice tutorial attached to this blog to guide you if you have any problems/concerns over technique. Again, it’s just a matter of doing it and staying active as much as you can. No one is going to force you to do it, just gotta do it. Nike style. Start gearing up for Thanksgiving ladies and gentlemen…………………Hope you liked this week’s blog, stay tuned for more next week………………………Kei
