What is 29 years worth to YOU? Dodgers!

1988

29 years. That’s how long it’s been since the Los Angeles Dodgers has been to the World Series. Yes, I am talking about baseball here ladies and gentlemen. The Dodgers has made the playoffs 10 times in the past 29 years, so its not like they have been bad. Its just hard to get to the final stage. There’s 162 games in the season. 162 games, ladies and gentlemen; that’s 162 days out of the year and we’re not even including the playoffs! Let’s just say, the baseball season has been going on since April and its October right now. 7 months of playing baseball, going on the road flying to different cities and traveling with the team. Brutal schedule if you ask me.

So this year the Dodgers finished the regular season with the best record in MLB (Major League Baseball). Given our track record with doing well in the regular season and losing in the playoffs, I was hesitant about our chances of succeeding this year. I thought to myself, “I’ve seen this before,” but there was something special with this young core group of guys.

My business partner and myself bought tickets to World Series game 1 couple weeks ago at a RIDICULOUS price with the intention of selling it because we thought the value would go up. Then, as saw our team clinch for the World Series, we thought to ourselves when will be the last time we can go to these types of games? Time is the only thing you cannot take back. This may sound cliche, but you really have to live in the moment and experience what you like because these are experiences you keep for the rest of your life. And this particular game, I will remember for the rest of my life and I am proud that I was able to experience it.

Here is a short clip of what the crowd sounded like when we closed out Game 1.

Hope you liked this week’s blog. Stay tuned for more next Wed………….Kei
